Supporting arts and artists
Another year has come and gone!
It's hard to believe that it is already December and the Holidays are upon us. Before we know it we will be toasting in the New Year with a rousing course of Auld Lang Syne. Before 2008 is completely gone though, I wanted to take a moment to stop reflect and thank you all for joining me here and for becoming my new friends.
I put this network together to give Artists and their supporters a place to interact. My long involvement with the arts has become a part of me. After years as a "Ballet Mom" I have a need to support the arts when and where I can. I hope that this network has at least allowed you all to meet new friends.
But each of you by joining has done something else which I owe you a huge thank you for. You have helped me to honor the memory of my daughter Gayle. This August was three years since her death. She was very involved with the Arts as a dancer all of her life. Ballet, Modern Jazz, she loved it all. She also liked to dabble in drawing and even tried her hand at singing. We convinced her to stick with dancing since she like her mother couldn't carry a tune with a bucket.
However she would have loved being a part of this network. I want to personally thank each and every one of you for helping me to honor her memory and for helping me to support the arts in some small way. I wish you all a joyous, happy safe holiday season filled with the love of your family and friends
